Speaker expertise

The Virginia Tech alum returned to Blacksburg in 2018 as director of player development – defense before being promoted to safeties coach in February 2019 by head coach Justin Fuente. • A well-rounded performer on the field as a player for the Hokies, Hamilton also owns a varied background as a collegiate coach with expertise as a defensive coordinator, in addition to experience coaching special teams and linebackers, as well as a background as a strength and conditioning coordinator. • A native of SW Virginia, Hamilton is also highly respected by high school coaches across the region, having developed valuable relationships during his previous coaching stops in Virginia and during his tenure at Tech. • “Justin has more than proven his mettle to our staff over the past year and has earned this opportunity to take the next step in his football career,” Fuente said upon promoting Hamilton. “We know how invested Justin is in the continued success of our program. He’s a bright and talented coach who has built a solid rapport with our players and football staff. Coach Foster and I are both excited to expand his responsibilities with our team.”
